On October 7th, 2019 at Sea Tea Comedy Theater, Connecticut Office of the Arts in partnership with CT Humanities and Now You Know Ent. presents you with a chance to experience a 1:1 in depth conversation with poet, educator, and the New York Times Bestselling author, Kwame Alexander.Â

Maurice Splash Eastwood will moderate the discussion tapping into Kwame's insight on his path as a creative, what it is like being an author and tapping into the community with his passion.Â
Doors will open at 5:30pm and the discussion will start promptly at 6:15pm. At the conclusion of the talk, Kwame will be conducting a book signing at 7:15pm while taking questions from the attendees.
The event is free of charge and will have a cash bar available for 21+ patrons. Snacks will also be available for purchase.Â

Kwame Alexander is a poet, educator, and New York Times Bestselling author of 33 books, including SWING, THE WRITE THING, REBOUND, which was shortlisted for prestigious Carnegie Medal, THE UNDEFEATED, illustrated by Kadir Nelson, HOW TO READ A BOOK, illustrated by Melissa Sweet, and, his NEWBERY medal-winning middle grade novel, THE CROSSOVER. In 2018, he opened the Barbara E.
